Description

When Yukito Urabe’s father, a cult leader, throws him into the sea during a ritual and leaves him to drown, his life comes to an abrupt end. However, instead of dying, he wakes up again in an otherworld at the kneading hands of a young lady. Alural, as the young lady is called, offers him to stay with her and her sister Siluril. Soon, he finds out that this world does not correspond to his ideas of an exciting, adventurous fantasy world. Instead of merciless battles with monsters, he devotes his life here to farming and brewing booze. It is a simple life, yet Yukito likes it very much.

After a month in the otherworld, Yukito finds out the village he lives in is a “dumping ground” for outsiders rejected by society who refuse to die in this godless world at the command of their king. To maintain social order, they are nevertheless forcibly executed. And for his friend Aruraru and her sister, the time of execution has come. In an attempt to prevent her execution, he loses his life, too.

At the moment of his death, though, his goddess Mitama comes into this world and brings them back to life. With the appearance of the deity, Yukitor also begins work as a missionary in this godless otherworld.

Das Leben von Yukito Urabe findet ein jähes Ende, als sein Vater, ein Sektenführer, ihn bei einem Ritual in das Meer wirft und ertrinken lässt. Doch anstatt wirklich zu sterben, wacht er in einer Anderswelt durch die knetenden Hände einer jungen Dame wieder auf. Aruraru, wie sich die junge Dame nennt, bietet ihm als Entschuldigung an, bei ihr und ihrer Schwester Siruriru unterzukommen. Schnell findet er heraus, dass diese Welt nicht seinen Vorstellungen einer spannenden, abenteuerreichen Fantasy-Welt entspricht. Statt gnadenlosen Kämpfen mit Monstern widmet er hier sein Leben der Viehzucht, der Feldarbeit und dem Fuselbrau. Es ist ein einfaches Leben, doch es gefällt Yukito sehr.

Nach einem Monat in der Anderswelt findet Yukito jedoch heraus, dass das Dorf, in dem er lebt, eine »Müllhalde« für von der Gesellschaft verstoßene Außenseiter ist, die sich weigern, in dieser gottlosen Welt auf den Befehl ihres Königs zu sterben. Um die gesellschaftliche Ordnung aufrechtzuerhalten, werden sie dennoch zwangsexekutiert; und für seine Freundin Aruraru und ihre Schwester ist der Zeitpunkt der Exekution gekommen. Bei dem Versuch, die Hinrichtung von ihr zu verhindern, verliert auch er sein Leben.

In dem Moment seines Todes kommt jedoch seine Göttin Mitama in diese Welt und erweckt die beiden wieder zum Leben. Mit dem Erscheinen der Gottheit beginnt auch Yukitor Arbeit als Missionar in dieser gottlosen Anderswelt.
